Hey guys, this is a quick video to let you know about the etymology of a few common words.
I believe it's relevant in these times of deeper understanding of our society:
Government: We use this word all the time, however the Latin origin clearly means "Govern-Mente", Mente being Mind in Spanish.
So Government literally means "Mind control".
Corporations: This word comes from Corpus in Latin, meaning body. In French we use the word Corps to designate a dead body.
Corporations could then mean a combination of dead beings.
Work: Comes from the Latin "to press or persecute". In French the translation of work is "Travail", and that word comes from "Instrument of torture".
Democracy: A nice way to put it is Demo in Greek means "Common people" and Kratos in Greek meaning, "Power, strength" > "Power to the common people".
But another way to interprete it is: Demo in Latin means (“Demon”) + "Kratos" in Greek meaning "Power, strength" > that's "Power to the Demon".
I don't know who decided to use this word to describe our current system, but I'm wondering if maybe, there was an intention there.
And I think we'll need to get away from it for our next system…
Apocalypse: Contrary to the common definition of a complete and final destruction of the world, it comes from the Greek meaning "Revelation".
Like when the light shines on the shadow, and the truth emerges :)
